Soko
A complete multi-vendor marketplace platform — web storefront, vendor dashboard, buyer mobile app, and server API — with M-Pesa + card payments, commission management, and logistics integration. MVP with 3 pilot vendors.
Soko was built after seeing how hard it is for Kenyan vendors to sell online — most platforms don't speak M-Pesa, charge high fees, and have no mobile-first buyer experience. I built the full platform in 6 months: storefront, vendor dashboard, buyer app, admin portal, and the payment plumbing. With 3 pilot vendors live, it's ready for someone who wants to take it to market.
The platform supports both M-Pesa and card payments (Stripe), includes a full mobile app for buyers (iOS + Android), a vendor dashboard for product and order management, and an admin portal for the marketplace operator.
Currently at MVP stage with 3 pilot vendors active. The codebase is production-ready but at an early commercial stage — ideal for a buyer who wants to own the infrastructure and grow it into a full marketplace business in East Africa.
