Let's build something great.
I'm Joseph Muvevi — a Senior Software Engineer based in Nairobi, Kenya. Five years building web applications, mobile apps, APIs, and systems that people actually rely on. I don't just write code — I take ownership of the outcome, from the first conversation to the day your product ships.
I started writing code in 2018. What I've built since then is a complete operating model for taking a product from idea to growth.
I build the system
Full-stack web and mobile applications — from schema design and API architecture to the last pixel of the UI. React, Next.js, React Native, NestJS, Node.js, PostgreSQL, MongoDB. I own the whole stack.
I take it to market
Shipping isn't the finish line. I set up Google Ads, configure analytics pipelines, run social media campaigns, and handle SEO — so the product I built actually reaches the people it's built for.
I keep it running
CI/CD, containerisation, monitoring, performance tuning, and zero-downtime deployments. DevOps isn't a separate team — it's part of the same ownership loop that started on day one.
I solve the business problem
Technology is a tool, not the goal. Before I write a line of code I understand the problem, the users, and the outcome. If the build doesn't solve the actual problem, it isn't finished.

Own the Outcome
“Not the task — the result.”
I don't hand off when the code is done. I stay accountable through deployment, through feedback, through the first real users. If something breaks in production at 2am, that's still my problem.
Reliability is Non-Negotiable
“Deadlines are commitments.”
Seven years, multiple clients, zero missed deadlines. I don't overcommit and I don't underdeliver. If something changes, I communicate early — not after the fact.
Clarity Over Cleverness
“The best code reads like prose.”
Clever code impresses nobody six months later. I write for the next engineer — clear naming, simple architecture, no surprises. The same applies to every email, every PR, every client call.
Think Full-Cycle
“Build it. Market it. Grow it.”
Software without distribution is a hobby. I think about SEO during architecture, about analytics before launch, about user retention while I'm still writing the schema. The product lifecycle is one problem, not four.
Never Stop Growing
“Comfortable is dangerous.”
C++, Blender, game dev, 3D modelling, video editing, graphic design — I add skills deliberately, not randomly. Every new domain makes the engineering sharper. Curiosity is the only sustainable edge.
You've seen the work, the timeline, the values. If this is the kind of engineer you want on your project — let's start the conversation.
